Your application data and privacy at Tekai

We are updating our recruitment systems to ensure full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page summarises how we handle CV and interview-related information from your application, and what choices you have.

Stay in our Talent Pool (24 months)

If you would like us to keep your profile on file to consider you for future opportunities over the next two years, you can confirm consent when we ask you by email (for example by choosing the agree option in that message or replying with "I consent" or "Yes" where that process is offered).

Be removed immediately

If you would like us to permanently delete your data from our systems, you can use the removal option we provide in the same communication, or reply with "Remove" or "Delete" when that channel is available. You can also contact us at the email below to exercise your rights at any time.

If we do not receive a reply

We will continue to hold your data for our standard 6-month retention period, calculated from your last application date. This is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate records and defending against potential legal claims. After this 6-month period, your data will be automatically and securely deleted.

Privacy summary (GDPR Article 13)

  • Who we are: Tekai (the data controller).
  • Data processed: Name, contact details, work history, and internal interview evaluations.
  • International transfers: To facilitate global hiring, your data may be accessed by our teams in the EU and Vietnam. We protect transfers using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to help ensure EU-level protection.
  • Your rights: You have the right to access your data, request its deletion where applicable, object in certain cases, and withdraw consent when processing is based on consent — for example by emailing gdpr@tekai.fi.
