About This Role

You will serve as the strategic technical extension of the CTO in Finland, acting as the primary technical authority for our Vietnam operations. This role demands a blend of deep architectural design, hands-on technical leadership, and commercial consulting. You will bridge the gap between Finland’s strategic vision and local execution, ensuring all software consulting projects meet Nordic quality standards.

What You Will Do

Your key responsibilities in this role

1. Technical Leadership & CTO Support

  • CTO Representation: Act as the technical leader for the Vietnam office, reporting directly to the CTO in Finland to ensure alignment on all technical strategies.
  • Team Management: Provide technical oversight for developers, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to architectural standards.
  • Recruitment & Growth: Lead the technical hiring process in Vietnam, including CV screening and conducting interviews to build a high-performing engineering team.
  • Practice Development: Organize technical training sessions and ensure consistent quality across all Vietnam-based projects.

2. Solution Design & Architecture

  • System Design Capability: Lead end-to-end design across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments, focusing on robust software designer principles.
  • Architecture Frameworks: Develop HLDs, LLDs, and integration patterns (APIs, microservices) that align with enterprise standards.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 security best practices.

3. Presales & Consulting

  • Sales Collaboration: Partner with the Sales team to participate in discovery workshops and technical preparation meetings.
  • Technical Feasibility: Consult on the practicality and feasibility of proposed solutions, providing ROM estimates and multi-year business cases.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build “trusted advisor” relationships with European clients and CXO-level stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

Required skills and qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 7+ years in IT (including 2+ years as Solution Architect or Technical Lead)
  • Proven Architectural Capability: Deep experience as a Solution Architect or Software Designer, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical reality.
  • Software Engineering Background: A strong technical foundation with significant experience delivering high-quality software consulting projects.
  • Modern Tech Stack: Proficiency in Azure Cloud Architecture, Microservices, API Design, and DevSecOps/CI/CD.
  • Lifecycle Mastery: Experience spanning the full presales-to-delivery lifecycle.

Soft Skills

  • Recruitment & Mentorship: Ability to identify top talent and mentor junior to mid-level engineers.
  • Excellent English: Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with the Finland CTO and European clients.
  • Commercial Acumen: Understanding of TCO, ROI, and various commercial models like T&M vs. fixed-price.
  • Cultural Integration: Comfortable working in an environment that blends Finnish and Vietnamese work cultures

4. LOCATION & WORKING HOURS

  • Location: Dong Do Apartment Building, Nghia Do Street, Nghia Do Ward, Hanoi.
  • Working days: 5 days per week, 7.5 working hours per day, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday (including a 1.5-hour lunch break). Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, and Vietnamese public holidays.
